Introduction
The world is moving at a fast pace due to the advancement of technology and digital tool in the field of education. Pre-pandemic and post pandemic saw difference in the use of technology in the classrooms since most classes were taught online. Use of internet along with technology supported by digital tools made the job easier and effective. School leaders and people at the ministry felt the need to digitalize the classes so that the education quality and advancement run at par with the rest of the world. The digitalization of the classes and school need huge monetary investment. Besides the huge cost, we cannot do away with the use of technology and banking on the technologies since it has multiple benefits.
Benefits of Technology in the Classroom
1. Increased Student Engagement
Teachers use interactive software and programs as learning technology. Students through the technology can ask doubts and seek clarifications instantly. Gamification of the lesson makes learning fun and engaging.
If students can carry or are provided with individual gadgets, they can integrate technology into the curriculum. Student to student interactions and engagement happen even at the other hours to seek support and resolve issues.
It makes easier for the students to collaborate from any corner and save the work being done. Technology can allow students to create digital collections of notes, ideas and presentations. They can draw and write together from their own homes and complete the projects and presentations to be ultimately save to be submitted or presented.
Traditionally, students work together and whatever they have created cannot be saved and ultimately lost or get destroyed.
3. Enhance Creativity
Students when given an opportunity to create presentations on any subjects and when instructed to use the applications and effects, they browse to look for the ways they can explore. They come up with the best of the best presentations using the tools and effects and editing knowledge. They bring photos to live and use the software to cut and manipulate.
4. Ease Teaching and Learning
A classroom with interactive board, projector, LCD screen and white board along with strong internet connectivity makes teaching and learning easier. Teacher can prepare power point and present it to the class. If the concepts are not clear, interactive board can be used in place of green board to show how the concept or solution has been reached. If at all not clear, playing the clips that clearly explains the concept can be browsed and played. With it, teaching is easier and learner would learn easily too when multiple efforts are attempted using the technology and the white board.
The teaching materials can be instantly shared to the children and the whole teaching session can be saved to be viewed multiple times later. There is no use of chalk by preventing the dust to dirty the class and affect the lungs. Children tend to learn more, attend more and interact better when technology and traditional resources are used simultaneously.

Technology is a must in the schools in Bhutan to uplift the quality of education and enhance creativity. Schools should invest as much as possible as the whole world speeds up riding on technology. The future of the world is technology and the related tools which if used effectively can take Bhutan to greater heights.
